Our first meeting of the year was held and what fun 21 of us had as we enjoyed a birthday celebration. Balloons, hats and blowers accompanied the cake, ice cream and snacks. Our presentation was a trip down memory lane as each birthday year noted the sitting president, price of various items, houses, wages, happenings, movie of the year, inventions and notable persons born in that year. We started with those born in 1930 and continued through 1971.
Join us on Tuesday, October 15 at 6:30 pm when our local author Bob Boehmer will share his experiences with us. His books – E.M.Maus Burrow Mysteries (two mice uncover clues about Emmaus’ history) will be available to purchase. Bob was an art teacher for 38 years and worked with NASA education and the space shuttle program for over 20 years. He received awards for integrating science, math, art and technology.
