St. John’s joins Smile Amazon Program

Do you shop on Amazon? Do you know part of your purchases could come back to St. John’s at no cost to you? Well let me tell you about www.smile.amazon.com. AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon that lets customers enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices, and convenient shopping features as on Amazon.com. The difference is that when customers shop on AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com) the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.05% of the price of eligible purchases to the charitable organizations selected by customers. It could be St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church if you so wish.

When first visiting smile.amazon.com, customers are prompted to select a charitable organization from over one million eligible organizations. In order to browse or shop at smile.amazon, customers must first select a charitable organization. There is no cost to you or St. John’s. As there are many organizations, please make sure you have the correct one.

We are offering this easy giving avenue for those who are active Amazon shoppers and are conscious of how their spending can translate into philanthropy. We extend this offer for you to consider St. John’s when online shopping for those items not repeated in our local outlets and encourage continued support of our local businesses in Emmaus.

What to Do: Go to www.smile.amazon.com and type in St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, then in the list find the one with Emmaus, Pa. (there are a lot of church’s with the same name so be sure to double check before you select) and then hit select. You only have to select St. John’s the first time you go in, as it keeps your choice selected for you. From there you go to another screen where you verify your selection and then you start shopping at Amazon Smile and St. John’s is automatically noted as your default donation organization.

Thank you for your support of St. John’s
