Nancy Weiss

After graduating from Emmaus High School, I attended King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Upon completion of college, I worked in the securities industry for 10 years. At that time, I resigned my position to start a family. I returned to my first love, teaching, after my two children started school.
I have been teaching on the pre-school level for since 2004. I have been the Director / Lead Teacher at SJCP since 2008.
My family and I reside in Emmaus and my children attend school in the East Penn School District. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, camping and cooking/baking. I also enjoy volunteering at my children’s school and with the Girl Scouts.
Deanna Portz
I graduated from Emmaus High School and then from Moravian College in Bethlehem, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English/Journalism. After a brief stint at a local TV station, I worked at Rodale in Emmaus for six years before leaving to start a family.
After the birth of my first child, I felt compelled to switch gears and begin teaching. I played a principal role in starting up a preschool at my former church. Then I took a few years off to focus on my family, and now I’m very excited to return to teaching as Mrs. Weiss’s assistant.
I live in Emmaus with my husband and two children. We love going to amusement parks, riding steam trains, and making music together.
