Blood Drive – Sunday, May 11

After last year’s successful blood drive with Miller-Keystone Blood Center, we are planning another one for Sunday, May 11. It was decided to hold the drive later this year due to the winter we just went through. Sign-up sheets will be posted on the bulletin board by the Parish Hall. You may also sign up by calling Bob Drennan at 610-967-6430 or at radrennan@gmail.com. This is not limited to St John’s members. Anyone can give, so bring a friend. Donations will start at 8:00 a.m. and go to noon. Miller-Keystone will be able to accommodate two donors every fifteen minutes. When you sign-up, please include a phone number and/or e mail address, and we will confirm your time with you.

Last year’s blood drive was an outstanding success and we looking forward to continued support from St John’s this year. Your gift of life will make a great Mother’s Day gift.

Attention Graduates! Deadline to submit information is May 15

If you are graduating this year from high school, vocational school, college or university, graduate school, trade school, nursing school or medical school, we want to hear from you! Names of grads will be published in a future edition of the Newsletter. Please call or e-mail the church office with information about your graduation by May 15. High School Seniors Photos Wanted — We would like a copy of your senior picture to scan into our computer and use for the Newsletter issue when we acknowledge High School Graduates (wallet size is fine). These photos will be returned to you. Please drop off at the Church Office or give to Pastor Lyn on a Sunday morning. If you would rather send us the photo in an electronic file, that would be fine. Please send to info@stjohnsemmaus.org. Deadline to send photos is May 15.

High School graduates will be recognized on Sunday, June 15, at the 10:30 service.
Graduates will receive a gift from the congregation in honor of their accomplishment. Letters to high school seniors were mailed. If you are graduating and did not receive a letter, please call the church office to be added to our list.

Geraniums for Pentecost (June 8) order deadline May 18

Orders for red geranium plants for decorating the church on the Day of Pentecost (June 8) are now being accepted. An order form was included in the May newsletter and they are also available throughout the Church. Payment must accompany the order. The cost is $8.50 for a 7½” pot with large plant. Order deadline is Sunday, May 18.
