Don’t forget: Deadline to Contribute to Monetary Gift for Pastor Ken is THIS Friday (Sept. 23).

Congregation Council will be hosting a farewell luncheon and reception for Pastor Ken and his family that will be held in the Parish Hall on Sunday, October 2, directly following the 10:30am service. Please mark your calendars now. We hope that you will be able to join us. Help express our gratitude to Pastor Ken!

During that gathering, Congregation Council would like to present Pastor Ken with a monetary gift from the Congregation. If you would like to donate toward this monetary gift, please mail or drop off your check, made payable to St. John’s, to Cyndi Nuver in the Church office, no later than 3:00pm on Friday, September 23rd.

Kiwanis Club of Emmaus is holding its annual Walter C. Stoudt Memorial Prayer Breakfast
on Good Friday, March 25, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church at 5th and Chestnuts Streets in
Emmaus. The breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. The speaker will be Pastor Buckwalter. Donation
will be $6.00. Tickets are available at the door.

First Holy Communion for St. John’s Class of 2016 will be celebrated on Good Shepherd Sunday, April 17, at both services. Four classes will be offered in preparation for this event; students and at least one parent/guardian must attend two of the four.

Class One will be offered Sunday, April 3 at Noon and Wednesday, April 6 at 7 p.m.; Class Two will be offered Sunday, April 10 at Noon and Thursday, April 14 @ 6 p.m.

Students and parents must attend one offering of Class One and one offering of Class Two in order to complete the course of preparation. Potential 2016 class includes all 2nd graders plus any eligible children who have not yet attended a class. You do not have to be a member of St. John’s to participate.
