St. John’s Lutheran Church, Emmaus is seeking a PT Director of Christian Education (15-20 hours per week). Tasks include development and coordination of the Christian Education programs for Cradle Roll, Sunday Church School, Vacation Bible School and Adult education. The DCE is also part of the teams that coordinate and promote our Youth and Confirmation ministries. Salary is commensurate with experience. The Confirmation Classes of 2016 and 2017 will meet from 6:00pm to 7:30pm on the second and fourth Sundays this coming year. Confirmation ministry is for students in grades 6 to 8; however, only students in grades 7 & 8 will meet on Sunday nights. The Sunday School cur-riculum for students in grades 6 to 8 is designed to supplement the class time on Sunday eve-nings and therefore students in grade 6 will still be part of the Confirmation program. Eligible students and their parents will be notified by mail in early September with a calendar and pro-gram for the year. The first Sunday meeting will be September 27th, to which all 7th and 8th grade students and their parents are invited.

Over the past few months Council Highlights have indicated that studies were being made to determine if handicap accessibility can be accomplished. The result of the studies is that it will be possible to have St. John’s handicap accessible.
