Celebrate A Century Of Giving! Spread the Word – All Are Welcome: Oct. 5 and 6

We warmly invite you to join us as we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of our Church Building with worship, praise and giving thanks.

– Saturday October 5th St. John’s Annual Spaghetti Dinner
– Sunday October 6th St. John’s 100th Anniversary Celebration

Join us for a Traditional Sunday service, including a German sermon with Mike Garrison and hymns performed and offered at the very first St. John’s Church service October 6, 1924. Afterward, we will enjoy a fellowship organized by our Stewardship Committee that will include refreshments, tours, photos and history on St. John’s Lutheran Church Emmaus over the last 100 years. We look forward to celebrating with our friends, family and community as we look back at the history of our church and its congregation.

Bring a Friend to Church – Sunday, Sept. 8

The Worship and Music Committee will host “Bring a Friend to Church Sunday”, September 8, the second Sunday in September. Since this is also Rally Day for Sunday School, we want to encourage all the kids to attend Sunday School for this church school year and invite a friend to join them for this special Sunday. We want to encourage everyone to bring a friend along to the morning service.

In morning service, the choir will return to sing and help lead the service. There will be extra music with a guest musician and the children’s sermon will be presented by Tootsie the Clown, who will also be doing face painting and balloon animals during the fellowship time immediately following the service. Sunday School will begin with Rally Day at 8:30am. Grab your bestie….and bring them to a fun day at St. John’s. This is a great way for someone to visit the church without any pressure!
