Crop Walk at St. John’s during Sunday School October 26

Sunday, October 26 though Downtown Emmaus during the Sunday School Hour: Everyone’s welcome to join us. Walk – Donate$ – Pray – Contribute box of crackers – 10-16 oz size, Boxed instant oatmeal – 6-12 pouch size for Groceries Plus. We are a part of the solution for hungry people. Look for donation containers at Fellowship and in the sanctuary.

Come out and join us to watch the Emmaus Halloween Parade Oct. 18

On Saturday, October 18, congregation members and friends are invited to watch the Halloween Parade on St. John’s lawn and enjoy hot dogs, hot chocolate and snacks/desserts in the Parish Hall, beginning at 5:00 pm. Please bring a snack to share. Hot dogs, hot chocolate, and other drinks will be provided. Roads in Emmaus will begin to close by about 5:30 pm, so arrive prior so that you can park near the church. The Emmaus Halloween Parade begins at 7:00 pm. Please contact Audra Berner for more information.

Ingathering Christmas Tree and Sponsored Agency Wish List

The Ingathering Christmas Tree will be in the back of the church, bginning Oct. 26, decorated with the stockings with the gift information inside. This includes the name of the person to receive the gift, their location, the gift requested and any special instructions. The gift should cost about $25. There are stockings for donations and gift cards, as well. There is a sign-up sheet so we can keep track of the gifts and make sure everyone on the list is covered.

We are also collecting small gifts for Sharing Life (St. Mark’s Allentown) and Bright Hope Pregnancy Support Centers.

Items are due by Sunday, November 16. Please mark the items you are donating with the agency’s name and put it in designated boxes in the coat room. If you have any questions, call Audra Berner at 610-967-5432. Thank you for your generosity!

Sharing Life (St. Mark’s Allentown)

Sharing Life at St. Mark’s in Allentown is collecting stocking stuffer items. For women, they are requesting deodorant and mittens. For men, they need deodorant, beanies and white socks. Items for both men and women include individually wrapped Christmas candy, packs of gum and toothpaste.

Bright Hope Pregnancy Support Centers

Bright Hope Pregnancy Support Centers are in need of diapers in sizes Newborn, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 (they do not need size 1), as well as baby wipes. They are also requesting new boys’ and girls’ clothes in sizes Newborn to 2T, new baby bottles, new sippy cups, new pacifiers, new crib sheets and new baby towels. Additionally, they need baby wash, baby lotion, and baby oil.
