In-depth Adult Catechism classes for folks who are largely unfamiliar with the church or with Christian faith, or those who have just “been away” from the church for a long time, will now be offered quarterly here at St. John’s. These classes are also open to anyone who wants to look more deeply into their faith. The first of these classes is Sunday, February 21 beginning at 6:15 p.m. in the church building. Room is still TBA. Second and third sessions of the course will be determined at the first session. There are no requirements for number of classes attended and classes are both self-contained and interconnected. A Special Congregation Meeting has been called by the Congregation Council of St. John’s for Sunday, September 20, 2015 at 11:45am, following the 10:30am worship service, in the sanctuary. The purpose of the meeting will be to review needed exterior repairs and vote on a resolution regarding these repairs. Members will be receiving a letter with additional details of the needed exterior repairs, as well as a copy of the resolution to be voted on at the meeting.
