Explore St. John’s Support of a Refugee Family — June 12

Fellowship, Exploration and Celebration! June 12 Fellowship Between Services (9 – 10:30 a.m.)

Hear a presentation by Kate Woodward from Bethany Christian Services about the possibility of supporting the resettlement of refugee families in the Allentown area.

Beginning in January 2022 and led by Pastor Jeff, the Outreach Committee as part of their monthly meetings participated in prayerful study of the scriptures about the role of Christians in welcoming our neighbors in need. At the conclusion of their study, the group decided to invite Kate Woodward from Bethany Christian Services to present at their May 9 meeting highlighting what we as a church can do to support the resettlement of refugees.

And now, all of you are invited to come together for goodies, conversation and exploring these possibilities too. We all have gifts and talents to help and welcome those in need. Listen for God’s call to you as we explore this possible outreach on June 12.
