St. John’s Christian Preschool will be holding a Pancake Breakfast fundraiser on Saturday, January 20 with a snow date of Saturday, February 3. Enjoy all-you-
can-eat pancakes and sausage, as well as beverages. The cost will be $10 per person. Children under 7 are free with a paying adult. Breakfast will be served in the Parish
Hall from 8:00 – 11:00 am. All are welcome to attend! Breakfast is open to the community.
Our Sunday School students and teachers are running a food drive again this year throughout the entire month of December for the Animal Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley located right here in Emmaus. The donation area will be located in the back of the church sanctuary. Donations will be accepted through Sunday, December 31. Their greatest need is dry cat food but they will gladly accept any food donations for cats, dogs, rabbits, gerbils, fish, birds, etc. Please contact Kathy Norton at 610-390-1715 with any questions or concerns.
Survey results are in and Worship and Music and Church Council met to discuss them. 70 people responded to the survey and many made comments (which were very helpful). Thank you to all who participated. 66% of those responding felt we should stay at one service.
Upon recommendation of Worship and Music, Council voted to stay with one service for the time being. The service will be at 9:30 am as it has been during the summer months. Sunday School times are still uncertain; Educational Ministry will work on that and let the congregation know. Worship and Music has committed to revisiting this issue next June to see how it is working for the congregation.
We know that not everyone will be happy with this decision and can only hope that each of you will try and adjust to this change in our church lives.
