October 2nd is the day for St. John’s youth to lead the way,

up and down the streets of our town

to proclaim the need to stop hunger all round.

Locally, nationally and internationally too,

the money we raise is the start of what we can do.

Confirmands, Sunday School students and parents and any others who would like to join in as part of the Greater Allentown Crop Walk will leave St. John’s by 9:25 AM Oct. 2nd during the Sunday School hour, walking up and down Chestnut St. bearing signs reminding those in our path of the food insecurity needs of others. We will return by 10:15.

We will begin collecting monetary donations Sept. 11 during Fellowship hour, before and after church each Sunday and on the day of the walk. Our food collection for Harvest Home and Crop Walk will be on Sept. 26 and Oct. 2.

Whether walking, donating and/or bringing food, please do what you can.

You can donate online at https://events.crophungerwalk.org/2022/team/st-johns-lutheran-emmaus, in person to any youth or any adult who will be walking.

You can place money in an envelope labeled CROP and put it in the plate. If you want to pay by check, make the check payable to CWS/CROP and in the memo line write St. John’s Lutheran – Emmaus.
